Introduction

IB Spanish B is designed for students learning Spanish as a second language who already have a certain background in Spanish. The syllabus content revolves around global issues such as identities, experiences, human ingenuity, social organization, sharing the planet… The aims of the course are to develop students’ intercultural understanding, develop students’ awareness of the role of language in relation to other areas of knowledge, enable students to understand and use Spanish in a range of contexts and for a variety of purposes.
