1. OSSD program overview
In the OSSD (Ontario Secondary School Diploma) program, the credit system is applied to students in grades 9-12. To earn the OSSD certificate, students need to earn a minimum of 30 credits:
-
- 18 required credits including Foreign Languages, Mathematics, Science, Canadian History and Geography, Arts, Health and Physical Education…
- 12 elective credits
- Pass a literacy test
- Complete a minimum of 40 hours of community involvement
2. Is doing outside extra OSSD class necessary?
Extra-curricular OSSD tutoring is an option that helps students keep up with the program in class. The time students have to interact with knowledge at school is quite limited, moreover, students often have a lot of different subjects in the same semester, so it is difficult to understand the background of important subjects.
In the process of tutoring, students will review the knowledge they have learned in the most general way, and practice with key questions to make sure everything related to the subject that they had problems with before.
