In the trend of international integration in Vietnam, English has become an indispensable language. Not only encapsulated for simple communication purposes, specialized English is also mandatory for employees, especially in multinational companies, if you don’t have specialized vocabulary, you certainly cannot help but exchange ideas or meeting to discuss issues with colleagues, superiors, customers or partners. Therefore, common specialized vocabulary is a topic that receives great attention.

1. What is specialized English?

This is a system of specialized words for an industry. Specialized vocabulary will often be used only in that industry and not in other contexts. If in the past specialized English for tourism, economics – commerce was essential, now industries such as administration – human resources, medicine or marketing – communication also require specialized knowledge of English.

3. Why should you study specialized English?

This is an indispensable tool in a highly globalized and international working environment. However, it is different from communicative English, you will not encounter it much in everyday situations. Therefore, mastering specialized vocabulary is not an overnight thing. You need to actively learn from many different sources (books, television, internet) to increase your knowledge, thereby becoming more confident when using English in the working environment.
