Learn About SAT

SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test) is a crucial standardized test administered by the College Board (USA), playing a pivotal role in the admissions process for universities in the United States and many other countries. The current SAT is implemented as the Digital SAT, focusing on assessing two main skills: Reading&Writing and Math. The Digital SAT is shorter (approximately 2 hours 14 minutes), taken entirely on a tablet or laptop, and features an adaptive design (the difficulty of the subsequent module is based on performance in the previous one). The Reading and Writing sections are combined into a single section. Math allows calculator use in both modules and has a built-in Desmos graphing calculator.
It consists of two main sections: Reading and Writing and Math. Each section has two modules (Module 1 and Module 2). Questions in Module 2 will be adjusted in difficulty based on the student's performance in Module 1.
No. The College Board discontinued the optional SAT Essay section in 2021. The current Digital SAT does not include an Essay section.
Students are permitted to use a calculator for the entire Math section of the Digital SAT. Specifically, the College Board's Bluebook™ testing application has a built-in Desmos graphing calculator. Students can also use their own College Board-approved personal calculator.
Although many universities have adopted "test-optional" policies, SAT scores remain an important factor used by many US universities (especially top-tier institutions) to assess applicants' academic abilities and potential, alongside GPA, essays, recommendation letters, and extracurricular activities. A strong SAT score can significantly enhance competitive advantage.
Intertu Education provides a personalized Digital SAT preparation roadmap, closely aligned with the latest Digital SAT structure and question types. We focus on developing in-depth Reading-Writing skills, strategies for various Math problems, helping students become proficient with the computer-based testing interface, and offering practice tests (Mock Tests) in the digital format.
