Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About

WACE Physics

The final grade for the course is calculated based on 50% from school-based assessments (lab reports, tests, projects, etc.) throughout the academic year and 50% from the final external examination organized by the WACE board.
Yes. A solid mathematical foundation, especially from the WACE Math Methods course, is an almost mandatory requirement for success. Physics uses the language of Mathematics to describe the universe, so mathematical skill is essential.
Besides differences in some in-depth topics, the biggest distinction is the continuous assessment model (50/50) of WACE. This helps to reduce the pressure of a single final exam and assesses the student's ability more comprehensively throughout the year.
This is a core part of the course. Students are assessed on their ability to design, conduct, and analyze scientific investigations and to write complete reports. These skills are tested in both school-based assessments and the final exam.
With our 1-on-1 method, teachers at Intertu will use real-world examples, virtual labs, and application problems to help your child see how Newton's laws or electromagnetic principles operate in technology and everyday life.
This is a prerequisite or strongly recommended subject for most Engineering, Physical Sciences, Computer Science, Medicine, and other health science majors, as it demonstrates a high level of logical thinking and problem-solving ability.
