Learn About SAT Maths

The Math section is one of the two main components of the Digital SAT, accounting for 800 out of the total 1600 points. The goal of this section is to measure the core mathematical skills students have learned in high school that are most applicable to college and future careers.

The test covers four main areas: Algebra, Advanced Math, Problem-Solving and Data Analysis, and Geometry & Trigonometry. A unique feature of the Digital SAT is that calculators, including the Desmos graphing tool, are allowed throughout the entire Math section.

Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About

SAT Maths

The biggest change is that calculators (including the integrated Desmos graphing tool) are now allowed for the entire Math section. Questions also tend to be more concise and straightforward.
While knowing key formulas is essential for solving problems efficiently, College Board provides a reference sheet of commonly used formulas at the beginning of each section. The greater challenge lies in knowing which formula to apply and how to apply it correctly.
Desmos is a powerful graphing tool that can instantly plot functions, find intersections, and solve equations. When used effectively, it can save a significant amount of time on certain question types.
We focus on three areas: 1) Strengthening foundational knowledge across the four key domains. 2) Teaching specific strategies for each question type. 3) Providing intensive coaching sessions on using the Desmos calculator strategically for faster problem-solving.
For students targeting top universities in STEM or Business programs, scores between 750–800 are considered highly competitive. For most other competitive universities, a score above 700 is a solid goal.
Tuition is based on the number of hours in the package and the level of support service (Standard, Premium, or Platinum) chosen by parents. For detailed pricing, please contact Intertu Education’s advisory team directly.
