Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About

GMAT Verbal Reasoning

The biggest change is the complete removal of Sentence Correction (SC) questions. The Verbal section now consists only of Reading Comprehension (RC) and Critical Reasoning (CR) questions.
While a strong academic and business vocabulary is important, GMAT Verbal focuses more on your ability to understand logic and context rather than memorizing rare or obscure vocabulary words, unlike the GRE.
This question type presents a short argument for you to analyze. Tasks may include identifying assumptions, strengthening or weakening arguments, finding conclusions, or resolving paradoxes. It is a pure test of logical reasoning skills.
Our program provides a systematic approach. For Reading Comprehension, we teach you active reading techniques to grasp structure and main ideas quickly. For Critical Reasoning, we break down each type of argument and teach specific strategies for each question type.
In the GMAT Focus Edition, Verbal Reasoning is scored on a 60–90 scale. A score of 80 or above is typically considered competitive. However, admissions committees often look for balanced performance across all three sections (Quantitative, Verbal, and Data Insights) rather than a high score in just one area.
Tuition depends on the total study hours and the level of support service you choose. For a detailed quote, please contact Intertu Education’s advisory team directly.
