Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About

Cambridge Primary Checkpoint English

This examination comprehensively assesses a student's ability to use English at the end of the Primary stage across the skills of Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. The results serve as a reliable measure of a student's English proficiency according to international standards, creating a foundation for the next level of education.
The exam typically consists of separate papers for Reading, Writing, and Listening skills. The Speaking skill is also a core part of the curriculum and is often assessed separately by the school throughout the course.
Unlike courses that only focus on communication, Cambridge Primary Checkpoint English emphasizes academic English. Students will learn to deeply analyze various types of texts (both fiction and non-fiction), write structured essays, and use language with precision and sophistication.
This is a common issue. With a 1-on-1 pathway, teachers at Intertu will accurately identify your child's weaknesses and build a study plan focused on writing skills. We will guide your child on how to outline, develop a thesis, expand vocabulary, and correct grammatical errors in detail.
The program covers a wide range of texts to develop comprehensive reading skills, including stories (fiction), articles and reports (non-fiction), and even poetry at a basic level.
We use texts with engaging content appropriate for the age group, combined with interactive activities, discussions, and language games to make learning vocabulary and grammar less dry, helping students absorb knowledge naturally and with enthusiasm.
