A-Level Global Perspectives (GP) develops essential 21st-century skills such as critical thinking, research, communication, and collaboration. Students will practice these skills by exploring, analyzing, and evaluating contemporary global issues from multiple perspectives (cultural, economic, political, environmental, etc.), learning to construct evidence-based arguments and propose solutions.

Common Challenges When Learning A-Level Global Perspectives

Difficulty in defining & researching issues: Needing to independently formulate appropriate research questions and effectively find, evaluate, and synthesize information from diverse, complex sources.
Challenge in multi-faceted analysis & evaluation: Requiring consideration of a global issue from various angles (economic, political, ethical, cultural, etc.) and objectively evaluating different arguments.
Barrier regarding argumentation & presentation skills: Needing to construct, structure, and present (through writing or presentations) complex arguments logically, coherently, and persuasively.
Obstacle with independent research project management: Especially at A2 level, requiring skills to independently plan, execute, and complete an Independent Research Report.
