SSAT exam structure SSAT exam has 3 levels:
  • SSAT Elementary Level for students in grades 3 – 4.
  • SSAT Middle Level for students in grades 5 – 7.
  • SSAT Upper Level for students in grades 8 – 11.
SSAT Elementary Level
  • Exam time: 1 hour 50 minutes (excluding the break time).
  • Including 89 multiple choice questions with 30 calculated sentences, 30 vocabulary words, and 28 reading – comprehension sentences, 1 non-scoring essay.
  • Total score: 900 – 1500.
SSAT Middle Level and SSAT Upper Level
  • Exam time: 2 hours 35 minutes (excluding the break time).
  • Including Math (50 sentences in 2 parts), Vocabulary (30 sentences on synonyms and 30 sentences on the correlation between words), Reading – Comprehension (40 sentences based on 7 paragraphs), 1 essay no point calculation.
  • Total score: 1320 – 2130 (Middle Level) and 1500 – 2400 (Upper Level).
