ITT – Like AP and A-level, IB is also a popular study program all over the world. First of all, we need to know about the IB exam in Vietnam. Related posts: IB program IB (International Baccalaureate) is a 2-year training program for students aged 16 to 19. Born in 1960 in Switzerland, IB is now present in many countries from Europe to Asia. According to statistics, up to 3,500 schools and 140 countries offer this program. IB program for students:
  • Completed grade 10 and 11 or at least 5 subjects in the GCSE program with a minimum grade point average of C.
  • Minimum English IELTS 5.5 / TOEFL 194 CBT / 71 IBT / SLEP 57 or equivalent on the EF Academy proficiency test.

Take IB exam in Vietnam
IB exam in Vietnam In the IB exam in Vietnam, you choose one of the following 6 subject groups:
  • Language 1.
  • Language 2.
  • Science in English (Physics – Chemistry – Biology).
  • Sociology (History, Geography, Psychology, and Business Management).
  • Math in English.
  • Art (Music, Theater, and Visual Art).
In addition, students must also study 3 core subjects:
  • Theory of knowledge (TOK) – studying the nature of knowledge, learning to understand what needs to know and how to find your own arguments.
  • Extended essay (EE) – an independent study of the whole kernel with a length of about 4,000 words.
  • Creativity, activity, service (CAS) – projects related to theater, sports, or community activities.

The highest score for each subject of IB is 7, the total score is 45 including the absolute score for 6 subjects is 42, plus 3 points for the EE, TOK, and CAS sections. Conditions for getting an IB diploma are as follows:
  • Complete a course and pass an exam, at least 24 points for 6 subjects.
  • Successful completion of an EE program about 4,000 self-selected topics.
  • Complete the TOK.
  • Participate in 150 hours of CAS.
For the IB exam in Vietnam, if students cannot prepare for the exam by themselves, they should register to attend the IB exam centers to be provided with the knowledge, methods, and skills to study science and social subjects, thereby forming logical thinking and critical thinking.
