What is IB program?

ITT – IB is a two-year program for students aged 16-19, which is a pre-university course and is highly regarded by major universities around the world. You should carefully find out what is IB program before attending this program. What is IB program? It is a comprehensive and extensive program with 6 groups of subjects as follows:
  1. The first language
  2. The second language
  3. Individual and social
  4. Science
  5. Mathematics
  6. Arts
Each student will choose 6 subjects from the above 6 groups, with the first 5 subjects chosen from group 1 to group 5, except for art subjects. The 6th is optional, students may choose in group 6 or any other subject in the first 5 groups. Additionally, in order to qualify for IB, in addition to passing the exam for the 6 elective courses, students also need to complete the following 3 requirements:
  • Complete Extended Essay (EE) of 4,000 words.
  • Join the course “Theory of Knowledge” (TOK).
  • Participate in the “Creativity, Action and Service” (CAS) activities for community support, sports, and creative activities.
Each course in IB program is divided into two levels: Standard Level and Higher Level. At the basic and advanced level, there is a relatively general knowledge framework. The main difference is the depth of HL. IB certificates are always recognized and appreciated by major universities in the world. Students participating in IB classes will always have the advantage of receiving scholarships, credit reductions and other university requirements. If you do not complete IB program, students may choose IB courses on their own. In this way, even if they do not achieve IB degree, they are still exempt from college credit for IB courses they have taken and gaining a high school diploma.
