Frequently Asked Questions

Frequently Asked Questions About

SACE English

Yes. To qualify for an ATAR score, all students must complete an English subject at Stage 2 (Year 12). SACE English is the most common choice, alongside other options like English Literary Studies or English as an Additional Language.
SACE English has a broader focus, analyzing a wide range of texts (including media and non-fiction) and creative writing skills. SACE English Literary Studies focuses more deeply on classic and contemporary literary works and literary criticism theories.
It is a major assessment where students must analyze and compare two different texts, exploring themes, character development, or stylistic choices, and present their insights in a single integrated essay.
Our teachers guide students through the entire writing process: analyzing prompts, creating outlines, developing strong thesis statements, interpreting evidence from texts, and refining academic writing style to meet SACE criteria.
This subject develops universally valuable skills like critical thinking, argumentation, and clear communication. These “soft skills” are highly valued in ALL university courses, from Law and Business to Engineering and Medicine, as they are essential for writing reports, delivering presentations, and constructing logical arguments.
Tuition fees for SACE English at Intertu Education depend on the package of study hours and level of support service (Standard, Premium, Platinum) selected by parents to best suit their child’s learning needs and goals. For a detailed fee quote, please contact the Intertu advisory team directly.
