Frequently Asked Questions About

O-level English

Both programs are very similar, based on the UK curriculum and internationally recognized. However, there may be minor differences in exam structure, scoring weight, and texts studied depending on the examination board.
Yes. The GCE O-level English exam includes an Oral Communication component, which assesses expressive reading and verbal interaction skills. This is an important part of the test.
Situational Writing involves writing a piece based on a given scenario (e.g., writing an email, formal letter, or report). To score well, students must master the P.A.C. framework (Purpose, Audience, Context) and use an appropriate tone and style.
Our teachers provide intensive training for all components of the exam. We focus on teaching specific strategies for summary writing, “decoding” reading comprehension questions, mastering different essay types, and building confidence for the oral exam.
This qualification is globally recognized and is particularly valuable for admission into pre-university programs such as A-levels, IBDP, or foundation courses in Singapore, the UK, Australia, and many Commonwealth countries.
Tuition for O-level English at Intertu Education depends on the total number of study hours and the chosen support package level (Standard, Premium, Platinum) to best meet specific learning needs and goals. For a detailed quotation, please contact Intertu’s advisory team directly.
