Learn About GED Science

The GED Science test is one of the four required exams to earn the GED credential. One important thing to understand: this is not a test that requires you to memorize large amounts of scientific facts. Instead, it evaluates your reading comprehension and critical thinking skills in a scientific context.

The goal of this section is to measure your ability to read, interpret, and apply scientific information presented through passages, charts, and graphs. The test content is divided into three main areas: Life Science, Physical Science (Physics and Chemistry), and Earth & Space Science.
